Blake Lively hit the premiere of The Green Lantern last night in a Chanel Haute Couture gown from spring 2009. The cap-sleeve frock has a demure lacy top with a very sheer skirt. She paired the look with a carefully tousled side braid.

While it's certainly a stunning gown, is it too bridal for a movie premiere? Especially since the movie in question involves battling evil while wearing a shiny green ring?

Tupac Shakur’s Birthday And Murder Case

As the Hip-hop community remembers Pac, a music mogul’s lawyer said he had nothing to do with the rapper’s death

Tupac Shakur lived the way fans wanted him to, he would have celebrated his 40th birthday today. Yet since his death, his image and legacy has grown by leaps and bounds from conspiracy theories claiming he’s hiding in Cuba to persistent rumors pointing toward different boogeymen and organizations as responsible for his death.

On such a milestone of a day, he is once again the talk of the town when news outlets quickly jumped on an AllHipHop.com story about a lifer prisoner who says he’s responsible for the legend’s death. Dexter Isaac says he’s not only the gunman, a music mogul paid him $2,500 to rob and shoot the late great rapper back in 1994 o a cold November night. Shakur was shot five times. This music mogul is said to be James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond. ABC reports this confession has now prompted the police to look back into a case they considered cold and over. But this is Pac—the 20-something-year-old who “Hit Em Up,” made the entire nation feel a lot of “California Love,” and created one of his best albums ever while doing a long prison bid.

Then today, the lawyer of the mogul told the New York Daily News, "It's a flat out lie." Tupac is back in the news like he never left. Then again, he never really has.

Rob Zombie's Woolite Ad Moves the Web

The Woolite apocalypse is upon us. A new ad campaign by horror filmmaker Rob Zombie is a spoof on his type of movies. And a load of laundry is getting all kinds of abuse. The ad's message: "Don't torture your clothes with detergents." So instead just scare the heck out of your clothes? No, silly -- use Woolite!

If the Center for Disease Control can use the zombie apocalypse to encourage citizens to prepare for impending doom like a tornado, earthquake or flood, well, it was only a matter of time for other campaigns to jump into the horror game to get their messages across. And there's no arguing that this ad looks like no detergent commercial you have ever seen.

Not that this was an easy sell. The ad agency Reckitt Benckiser was shocked, shocked, by the torture spoof, telling AdWeek, "When we saw the first storyboard we almost flipped from our chairs." Um, what did you think the director of "Halloween II" was going to do, exactly?

The ad, first introduced on Facebook, has gone scarily viral. Not that Zombie himself thinks the ad is very scary. He tells the New York Times that the laundry tormenter is more like Uncle Fester from "The Addams Family," not "some child killer out in the woods."
"
"

Well, that's a relief.

The actress and reality star is only 40 years old, but apparently she's old enough to write a memoir. Indeed, as the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen, she likely has a lot to say. She says she plans to talk about the good times with Sheen, and not just "the rotten stuff."

Movie Awards 2011

From Emma to Kristen,

Our Top 10 Looks Of The Night

The 2011 MTV Movie Awards is behind us but all that means is that's it's time to saunter down (very recent) memory lane to muse and mull over our favorite looks of the night. Sure Twilight swept the awards and dominated the Red Carpet but our picks for the favorite were a little more diverse. Running the gamut from "Easy A"'s Emma Stone to Chanel muse Blake Lively, the ensembles boasted trends that were varied and inspired so with no further ado, here are our favorites.

Leighton Meester at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City,
California on June 5, 2011.

Leighton Meester'sSummer Girl art-deco-gone-disco-ball not only flaunted the mirrored shard trend but a second trend of a shortshort cocktail length juxtaposed by long sleeves. Plus, a deep, dark tan and lighter hair set off the dramatic reflections exquisitely.

Reese Witherspoon at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California on June 5, 2011.

Oh man, if Reese Witherspoon didn't wail on R. Pattz for his flubbed lines in the show (good natured ribbing of course. Ever the consummate professional, Reese brings flawless effortlessness in a juuuuust about knee-length, ultra fitted, Zac Posen leopard-print aqua and brown dress. The subtle sweetheart bodice adds a nuanced air while her tousled, beach-wavy blonde hair hits all the notes of a calculated informality. We see you, Reese!

Emma Watson at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California on June 5, 2011.

We were on pins and needles (frantically chatting with the Marchesa twitter feed) about whether or not Emma would wear their fitted, stark white, mini-sheath—with the fringe and the beads and the YUM—and we're thrilled that she did. The Potter star was lovely, gracious, and appeared to GLIDE on her reflective silver, sky-high Brian Atwood heels. Heavenly. Naturally.

BLAKE LIVELY:

Blake Lively at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California on June 5, 2011.

Blake Lively is a sleek aerodynamic nymph in a gorgeous cut-out Michael Kors dress, which further proves that she is probably most at home being some sort of beautiful mer-creature. And to further prove the fact that she is actually a WOMAN times 10, she's got that hair pulled into a streamlined ponytail, which makes us feel like she probably got right out of the pool after "kissing her skin" with sun and just came on over to the awards.

Hailee Steinfeld at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California on June 5, 2011.

The thing about this Louis Vuitton tuxedo that we've rhapsodized enthusiastically about SEVERAL times now is that the fit was just perfect. Now, we realize the 'p' word is bandied around so frequently as to be egregiously diluted but the cut was insane. The sequin lapel and tuxedo stripe on the pant showed a fantastically whimsical element but the slightly flared trouser leg added just the sleekest hint of '70s that was reminiscent of the BEST Stella McCartney pant circa early Chloe in a way that made us feel wildly nostalgic and happy. Fash geek-fest over.

Mila Kunis at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California on June 5, 2011.

So Mila Kunis didn't walk the Red Carpet and for that we have a single-teared frowny face sticker added to her permanent file. But it's scratch-n-stiff and smells like lilacs so it's still a happy ending! The Justin Timberlake molesting 'Black Swan' star kept it simple and complemented a deep, black top with a silver and gold HEAVILY textured metallic, body-con mini. Balmain and therefore IMPOSSIBLE to go wrong.

Elle Fanning at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California on June 5, 2011.

There are all of these girls on the red carpet at the Awards, and while most of them are bright young things, Miss Elle Fanning is so young, so tall, and clearly has a much-talented older sib to possibly over-shadow her. But instead, she goes for the bloomers (with blooms! Blooming bloomers!). Sure, it's a youthful romper and all, but the she drops the bomb on us that it is Dolce and Gabbana.

Kristen Stewart at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California on June 5, 2011.

Kristen Stewart's hardware-laden Balmain strapless dress was PUHLENTY impressive from a distance as we were deafened by the screaming Twilight fans but as she approached we realized that the deep red number wasn't beaded as we'd earlier thought but pierced throughout and riddled with hundreds of safety pins. Bad. Ass. Plus, think of the countless wardrobe malfunctions she could ameliorate with the handy fastenings! Yes. I just said, "ameliorate" it is one million o'clock here.

Holland Roden at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California on June 5, 2011.

Who is this lovely statuette of a woman that has shown up on our screen, looking a bit like an idol/goddess? Grab a pen all: This is Teen Wolf’s Holland Roden. She’s prepped for her first red carpet (and judging by the Amy Adams’-like nature of her get-up, definitely not her last) in a killer Jad Ghandour gown that has a massive train, but is still fitting her form and showing off her killer gams. And lastly, the one-shouldered geometry of this dress is just slaying us. Forget wolves vs. vampires: We’re Team Holland.

Emma Stone at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California on June 5, 2011.

The temptation to flub a vitamin C opening joke in this write up is an enticing one but we're not sure it conveys the proper sentiment which is that we ADORED Emma Stone's playful foray into prettily, citrussy color palettes. From her nails to her clutch to the foundation layer of her Bottega Veneta dress, we loved the completeness of her convictions.
