' Star Peter Falk Dies
Falk who suffered from Alzheimer's disease was 83.
A rep for the family tells TMZ, "Peter Falk, 83-year-old Academy Award nominee and star of television series, 'Columbo', died peacefully at his Beverly Hills home in the evening of June 23, 2011."
The rep continued, "Peter Falk is survived by his wife, Shera, of 34 years and two daughters from a previous marriage."
In addition to "Columbo," Falk starred in "Princess Bride," "Brigadoon" and "The Great Race."
Peter's wife, Shera and daughter Catherine were locked in a legal battle in 2009 over the creation of a conservatorship for Peter and who would control it. In the end, the judge appointed Shera conservator.

Lamar Odom has been in the Los Angeles area for almost his entire NBA career, playing first for the Clippers and now for the Lakers. But numerous outlets are reporting that the Lakers are shopping Odom around the NBA during the current draft - can his reality star wife Khloe Kardashian handle a move to another city?
Sports Illustrated is reporting there is a possible deal being discussed between Los Angeles and Philadelphia. We're fairly sure Khloe could handle Philly. It's not the flashy LA or Miami she's used to, but it's very close to New York.
CBS Sports says there was talk of a Lakers-Warriors trade, which would send Lamar and Khloe up the coast to Oakland. That might not be too bad. It's still in California. Heck, she'd probably just stay in LA.
There was another report from the LA Times that the Lakers tried to trade Odom to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Now that would be funny - "Keeping Up with the Kold Kardashians."

Miranda Lambert is stepping into new husband Blake Shelton's territory.
On next Wednesday's season finale of NBC's hit singing contest, "The Voice," Lambert will perform a duet with the finalist who was on Shelton's team, Dia Frampton.
Lambert, a Grammy winner for her single "The House That Built Me," said she was "thrilled" to be part of "The Voice."
"It's been a joy watching my husband grow so attached to his team. Truthfully, I am a little jealous that I am not a coach myself. I can't wait to be a part of it," she said.
Country superstars Lambert and Shelton were married last month.
"The Voice" also features Christina Aguilera, Maroon 5's Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green as coaches to their own groups of would-be pop stars.
The other finalists competing with Frampton are Javier Colon, Beverly McClellan and Vicci Martinez. The four will perform next Tuesday, with the viewers' choice to be announced on the finale the following night. The winner gets a record contract and a $100,000 prize.

55-foot 'Sea Monster' Washes Up In China
A massive sea creature has washed up on a beach in Guangdong, China. So badly decayed it cannot be positively identified, the "sea monster" is 55 feet long and weights approximately 4.5 tons, according to The Sun.
Upon seeing a photo of the carcass, three marine biology experts — Scott Baker of Oregon State University Marine Mammal Institute, Bill Perrin, senior scientist for marine mammals at the National Marine Fisheries Service, and Bob Brownell, senior scientist for international protected resources with the National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration's Fisheries Service — all think it's a whale.
Based on its throat grooves, "[we agree] that it's a balaenopterid," Baker told Life's Little Mysteries. "Judging from the reported size of 55 ft., maybe a fin whale. From the photo, however, it does not really look to be 55 ft., and so might be a smaller balaenopterid, like one of the 'Bryde's' whales."
"We all hope somebody collects the bones and a tissue sample for genetic analysis as recovery of whale carcasses is rare along the coast of China," he added.
The beast is tangled in ropes, and locals theorize that area fisherman once caught it but could not haul it in owing to its gargantuan size. According to The Sun, people have flocked to see the sea creature despite its foul stench.
